
Straub's was founded with two primary objectives. The first was to bring the highest-quality meats to consumers in St. Louis and the second was to provide outstanding customer service.
Today, 106 years later, those same objectives still hold true. Except that now we aim to bring the highest-quality meats not just to St. Louis but to the entire country.
Of all the beef produced in the United States, only 2% is certified prime grade by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). Straub's sources only the best USDA prime beef from corn-fed cattle raised right here in the Midwest. Our beef is aged a minimum of 21 days to achieve that buttery taste and mouth watering tenderness.
All of our steak gifts come packaged in a custom gift box (see left). They are flash frozen and packed in styrofoam coolers with ice packs to ensure quality upon arrival. It is common that the ice packs may have melted by the time you receive your steaks. As long as the meat is cool to the touch, you may prepare or refreeze it with confidence.
